Nine successful small-scale projects by youth

One of the successful components of “Youth Civic Awareness Program” funded by National Endowment for Democracy and implemented by Uluchay was implementation of nine projects by youth groups, which are also participants of previous components of the project. Uluchay received 17 projects from project participants and jury decided to provide technical assistance to nine projects. Total amount of technical assistance to youth small-scale projects was – 2,500 USD.

Main priorities for technical support were identified

On 28th October, 2011 within the Social Entrepreneurial Program “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation organized a round-table on “Identifying of main social problems for technical support”. Around 25 stakeholders were participated in the round-table, including government, bank sector, NGO, Media and private sector representatives.

"Uluçay" Sosial-İqtisadi İnnovasiya Mərkəzi QHT-nın inkişaf ərəfəsində üzləşdiyi problemlərin aşkarlanması uçun sorğu həyata keçirir. Həyata keçirilən sorğunun nəticələrinə əsasən maraqlı tərəflərə (dövlət, QHT-rı, biznes və donorlar) məsləhətlər hazırlanacaqdır.

Qeyd edək ki, Uluçay təşkilatı vətəndaş cəmiyyəti təşkilatlarının(VCT) inkişaf effekliviyi Global Forumunun Azərbaycan üzrə əlaqələndirici teşkilatıdır və bundan əvvəllər də bu sahədə məsləhətlər hazırlamış və görüşlər keçirmişdir.

Social Entrepreneurial Program

The primary goal of the “Social Entrepreneurial Program” project is to bring an innovative approach to finding solutions to community needs and problems through social entrepreneurship. The project will engage young adults as actors in their community to bring about change and development.

The project is funded with money granted by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Uluchay is continues to develop institutional capacity and system of local communities

Through the U.S. Embassy-supported “Responsible communities – democratic society” project, “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center is continues development of institutional capacity and system of local communities.

Within this component of the project Uluchay provide five training sessions to each community, which are followings: what is the community and how it works, sharing experience of foreign communities, strategic planning of community, advocacy and project writing and increasing the influence of community board on solving of local social and economic problems.
