Kindergartens are the stage for the improvement of children’s world outlook. Being the first stage of education system the primary education has an essential role in the intellectual, physical and psychological development of children and to mould their character and prepare them for school. Kindergarten is the first proving ground for the children aged 2-3 to adapt to collective life and society as well.

As there made no substantial attempts to improve the quality of primary education and to strengthen the financial and technical basis of kindergartens in the regions and distant villages of Azerbaijan, many problems emerged in this field.

The construction of a kindergarten in the Orta Zayzid village of Sheki has begun within the “Grass Roots and Human Security” grant program of the Embassy of Japan to eliminate this problem. The total budget of the project is $ 84,573. The main purpose of the project is to provide the children of Orta Zayzid village with the education they need in order to prevent them from dropping behind intellectually, creatively and socially, at the same time to avert child labor and children get infected with different diseases, to give village women an opportunity to work, to increase the income of families and to stimulate the development of economy in and around villages. In addition, trainings by Uluchay working staff on new methods in primary education for teachers are intended in the project.

As a result, a new stage will begin to build up children’s world outlook, more women will be able to work and help their families and thus the economical growth of the village will increase.
