Uluchay aims at developing communities and increasing civic engagement of population in five villages of Shaki region. The organization plans to engage around 325 people from these communities including local authorities, youth, women and elder people, and representatives of small and medium business. In each village ten most active people will be selected and trained in community development, planning and implementation of community-oriented projects. After the training the participants will be expected to design their projects which will be implemented during Community Responsibility Weeks. Moreover, each community will prepare advocacy campaigns addressing the important issues raised by the community members.    

Let us note that "Responsible communities - democratic society" project is funded by U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan and implementing by "Uluchay" Social-Economic Innovation Center. Project duration is 8 months.
