Opening ceremony of the kindergarten
On May 20 an opening ceremony of the kindergarten built in Orta Zayzid village of Sheki region by Uluchay organization within the limits of “Grass Roots and Human Rights” grant program of the Embassy of Japan in Azerbaijan. Mr. Hideomi Nakajima, the Counselor of the Embassy of Japan in Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Nazim Ibrahimov, the Head of the Executive Committee of Sheki, Ms. Zarina Javadova, the Deputy Chief of Executive Committe on Education & Culture, Mr. Firadun Ibrahimov, the Head of Education Department of Sheki, Mr. Rashid Abdulrahimov, the Head of Municipality of Orta Zayzid Village, Mr. Mais Safarov, the Executive Director of Organization “Uluchay” and the staff, and local people will participate in the opening ceremony.
The main purpose of the project is to provide the children of Orta Zayzid village with the education they need in order to prevent them from dropping behind intellectually, creatively and socially, at the same time to avert child labor and children get infected with different diseases, to give village women an opportunity to work, to increase the income of families and to stimulate the development of economy in and around villages.
In addition, Uluchay provided a chain of trainings on “Pre-school education and new educational methodology” for the kindergarten staff. As a result, a new stage will begin to build up children’s world outlook, more women will be able to work and help their families and thus the economical growth of the village will increase.
