Presentation of CAP
On 22 April, 2011 presentation of Youth Civic Awareness Program was held at conference hall of Uluchay Social-Economic Innovation Center. The aim of this presentation is to inform young people of Sheki about planned project activities. Totally 30 young people participated in presentation.
Executive director of Uluchay – Ilyas Safarli present each of project components to young people. He also mentioned: “This project is a great opportunity for young people of Sheki to realize their ideas through small-scale projects, as well as to increase their world vision and other capacities and skills through other two components.”
Uluchay will use renewed grant to support to encourage the participation of young people in public life in Sheki. Uluchay will organize twice-monthly events, including a speaker series and debates, and administer a small fund to support youth civic initiative projects. The organization will train a select group of young journalists to write articles for a newsletter, contribute to a blog, and film a short documentary.
Let us note that Youth Civic Awareness Program is funded by National Endowment for Democracy and implemented by “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center. Project duration is 12 months (April 2011 – March 2012).
