“Uluchay” SEIC organized “Let’s become familiar with our history” information session for youth within the “Civic Awareness Program” funded by National Endowment Democracy (NED). The guest speaker of information session was Nesib Mukhtarov - the representative of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Science in Sheki. Nearly 30 young activists participated in the information session.

The purpose of the information session was to inform youth about archaeological excavations and historical monuments, the secret history of Sheki. The following topics were discussed during the lecture:

• The History of Sheki and old city - Nukha
• Definition of historical monuments
• The role of historical monuments in tourism

This session was very interesting for young people and they asked a lot of questions about the history of Sheki and Azerbaijan and also about his personal life. 

At the end of information session it was decided that the participants of program will create blog about work of N.Mukhtarov and will publicize on a large scale.
