On May 05 an opening ceremony of Civic Awareness Program financed by National Endowment for Democracy fund was held with the participation of youth at “Uluchay” Social-Economic Innovation Center.  More than 30 youth and also representatives of organization participated at the ceremony.

The aim of the meeting was to inform the youth about the program, the activities which will realize on the program and about online blog system www.shekiblog.org which has been created by this program. The coordinator of the project Khayala Mammadova presented and she noted that this program has already been going on for 4 years.

After finishing the presentation about the project the participants were informed about blogs, types of blogs and the history of blog. The Executive Director of the organization Ilyas Safarli informed about the rules of using www.shekiblog.org and registration in blog.

The main purpose of the Civic Awareness Program is to increase world outlook of youth on political, world and civic issues and foster their interest in politics and journalism.
